Take the innocent, sun-drenched summer of 1965. Populate it with fun-loving college kids experiencing their first foray into independence. Mix in a hotel-keeper fighting to keep both his hotel from foreclosure and his marriage to a mermaid secret. Throw in a battle of the bands competition and you have MIDSUMMER NIGHT BEACH PARTY – a celebration of love, laughter, music, and magic. The film takes us back to the time when guys competed on the Pacific waves for the attention of their girlfriends. And those girls sat on the beach working on their tans, never getting their bikinis wet because ocean spray would ruin their bouffant hairdos!
